Combined with the EXPEED 7 image processor roughly 10x faster than its predecessor the Z6 III achieves continuous shooting at up to 20 fps in RAW, 60 fps full-frame JPEG and 120 fps in DX-crop JPEG, all with full autofocus and autoexposure tracking. Pre-Release Capture records up to one second before the shutter is fully pressed, ensuring you never miss a decisive moment.

Cutting-Edge Autofocus and Intelligent Subject Detection
The Z6 III's 299-point phase-detection autofocus system performs AF calculations at 120 fps and AF/AE tracking at an astonishing 240 fps, with sensitivity ranging from -10 to +18 EV including Starlight AF for astrophotography. Automatic subject recognition identifies nine subject types people, dogs, cats, birds, airplanes, cars, motorcycles, bicycles and trains with face detection capable of locking onto human faces as small as 3% of the frame. Five-axis in-body image stabilization delivers up to 8 stops of compensation with Synchro VR on compatible Z-mount lenses, while Focus Point VR concentrates stabilization precisely where it matters most.
