Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary Lens for FUJIFILM X

SIGMA 18-50MM F2.8 DC DN CONTEMPORARY LENS FOR FUJIFILM X MOUNT

Compact F2.8 Constant Aperture Performance
The Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 DC DN Contemporary redefines what an APS-C zoom lens can be, delivering a constant F2.8 maximum aperture throughout the entire 18-50mm zoom range (equivalent to 27-75mm on full-frame). As the smallest and lightest F2.8 constant-aperture standard zoom in its class for APS-C mirrorless cameras, it pairs outstanding optical quality with a portable form factor measuring just 61.6mm x 76.8mm. Its 13-element, 10-group construction incorporates three high-precision glass-moulded aspherical elements and one Special Low Dispersion element, ensuring sharp, contrasty images with minimal chromatic aberration.

Optimised Autofocus for FUJIFILM X Mount
Sigma developed a custom AF control algorithm specifically for the FUJIFILM X Mount, fine-tuning both AF drive speed and camera communication to deliver responsive, accurate autofocus across a wide range of shooting scenarios. The high-speed stepping motor operates in near silence, making it equally at home during video recording, vlogging, gimbal use, and one-man production work. It fully supports both AF-S and AF-C continuous autofocus modes, giving photographers and videographers reliable subject tracking in demanding situations.

Versatile Shooting with Macro-Style Close Focus
With a minimum focusing distance of just 12.1cm at the wide end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.8, this lens opens the door to impressive close-up and near-macro photography without the need for additional accessories. Super Multi-Layer Coating suppresses flare and ghosting even in challenging lighting, while 7 rounded diaphragm blades produce smooth, circular bokeh to isolate subjects beautifully. Compatible with in-camera lens aberration correction (distortion and vignetting) on supported FUJIFILM cameras, and manufactured at Sigma's own Aizu facility in Japan, this lens combines precision engineering with real-world versatility for landscapes, portraits, street, travel, events, and content creation.
